## Coin Specifications (ASW / AGW)

Weight, fineness, composition and precious metal content for every U.S. silver
and gold series. Actual Silver Weight (ASW) and Actual Gold Weight (AGW) are
given in troy ounces, derived from statutory weights and cross-checked against
NGC's published specifications. Series whose composition changed are listed era
by era; there is no single ASW figure for a Kennedy half dollar or a Washington
quarter, and any source quoting one is wrong for part of the series.
